Welcome to Grey Face Rescue & Retirement - we are glad to have you with us. You were brought on as an Office Volunteer for Grey Face Rescue’s home office because we believe that you will make a unique and valued contribution to our organization - the part you will play in your new position is critical to our continued success! We sincerely hope that you find your new position to be exciting, challenging and enjoyable, and we’ll do our best to create a rewarding environment for you in return.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • You are welcome to any beverages + snacks!

  • Specific department contacts/emails are located in the handbook (found on this page, in the pink binder at the office and on the white board in the office.

  • You are responsible for finding someone to cover your office volunteer shifts if you are unable to fulfill them. Please, do not remove your name from the office volunteer Sign-Up Genius schedule less than 24-hours from your shift.

  • The decision to close the office (due to weather or other circumstances) will be determined prior to your volunteering shift. We will assess this decision by determining the safety of our staff and volunteers and their travel.

  • Grey Face Rescue has an excellent group of volunteers that care for the cats on-site. However, while volunteering in the office, you are welcome to socialize and play with the cats. Please, read their information cards to see for sicknesses, social behaviors, temperament, food/treats, etc. We often have cats on specific diets or do not get along with other cats.

  • Ensure doors are locked + lights turned off when departing the office. Return keys for the next volunteer.
