Grey Face Gives is a community-focused program created by Grey Face Rescue with one goal: to help pet owners in need keep their pets healthy, happy, and at home.
We provide essential pet supplies — including food, toys, and basic care items — free of charge to community members who need a little extra support.
By helping families access the supplies they need, we hope to reduce the number of pets surrendered to shelters and help keep beloved animals where they belong: with the families who love them.
This program is about support, compassion, and respect — never judgment. We understand that circumstances can change, and sometimes a little help can make all the difference.
How Grey Face Gives Works
Grey Face Gives is a mobile community outreach program. Our supplies are housed in a branded enclosed trailer that allows us to bring assistance directly into the community.
Our program continues to grow and evolve as we learn more about what our community needs. We currently provide support in several ways:
Private Gives Pick-Up Appointments
Approved Grey Face Gives beneficiaries may sign up for private pick-up appointments at designated times.
These appointments allow us to provide supplies based on the individual's specific needs, such as particular types of pet food or other essential care items.
Appointments are available periodically throughout the year. Approved beneficiaries will receive information about upcoming appointment opportunities by email.
To protect the privacy and safety of our community members, appointment information and locations are only shared with those who are registered and scheduled.
Community Give-Out Events
Throughout the year, Grey Face Gives takes our mobile trailer into the community for outreach events.
These events allow us to distribute pet food and supplies directly to community members in areas where additional support is needed.
Event information will be shared through our social media, community partners, and other local outreach channels.
Community Partner Support
When possible, Grey Face Gives also provides pet food and supplies to community organizations and partner facilities that serve individuals and families experiencing hardship.
Our goal is to get these resources where they can make the greatest impact.
What We Provide
Available supplies vary based on donations and community needs, but may include:
Pet food
Treats
Toys
Collars and leashes
Basic pet care supplies
Other essential pet items
Our supplies come from a combination of community donations, excess or otherwise unusable donated items, and direct fundraising efforts.
Because our inventory changes frequently, we cannot guarantee that a specific food, brand, size, or item will always be available.
Who Can Participate?
Grey Face Gives is available to pet owners who are experiencing a need for assistance with basic pet supplies.
To participate, you must first complete our Grey Face Gives application.
Once your application has been reviewed and approved, you will be added to our Gives Program and receive information about upcoming opportunities to receive supplies.
We currently do not have a geographic restriction for participation. As the program grows, eligibility guidelines may change so that we can continue serving our community responsibly.
Keeping Pets Where They Belong
We believe that financial hardship should not automatically mean losing a beloved pet.
Sometimes families need help with food. Sometimes they need a few basic supplies to get through a difficult month. Sometimes they simply need someone to step in and help fill a gap.
That's what Grey Face Gives is here to do.

What do you provide?
Dog and cat food, collars, leashes, toys, clothes, towels, blankets, topical flea/tick. Any excess or unusable supplies donated to Grey Face Rescue
Where is Grey Face Gives located?
All supplies will be stored in an enclosed trailer and will be mobile.
How do we sign-up to receive supplies?
We will have a sign-up form available on our website once per month starting in 2025. We will only have a limited amount of spots to sign-up.
Can we donate towards Grey Face Gives?
Absolutely! We are currently accepting the following items:
- Dog + cat food (we are accepting open bags of food but they MUST be in the original packaging. We will not accept plastic containers of food)
- Leashes, collars and gently used beds
- Treats
- Dog + cat bowls
- Litter boxes
- Litter
- Topical flea/tick preventatives
- Collars + leashes
- Towels + blankets
Where can we bring our donations?
Donations can be dropped off at our office Monday between 12-2pm and 5-7pm or you can leave them outside our door. Our address is 30593 Pearl Drive, Suite 1, St. Joe, MN 56374.
